bam!

why are people in need of being refreshed? while i certainly appreciate the sentiment, when a teacher in my session today told me that the format and delivery of the content was refreshing, it saddened me a bit. doesn’t everyone who engages a group hope to engage them? it’s not rhetorical. i would think it would lead to a somewhat miserable existence to simply go through the motions, particularly in professional development. a new tool, a bit of technology, i think that offering some information or new tools that may not relate to the content can be a powerful olive branch.
