the sounds of the office

17 Apr

i’m not sure what the usual sounds of the office are, but seems like for the past week talk of meetings and trainings have now shifted to voicethread and twitter.  it really has been remarkable how the team, now charged with obtaining ‘master’ status with technology they once probably only claimed tertiary knowledge of, has jumped in with both feet and accepted the challenge.  perhaps i just like talking to people.  at any rate, and this probably sounds a bit hokey, but i feel like people i don’t usually talk tech with are know speaking my language, if you will.  i can’t  help but wonder if this energy for using these tools will remain 56 days from now when palooza is over?  will it just be something to put in the “out” box or will this perhaps awaken a new ways of training and using techtools.  i suppose the old adage is correct once again, only time will tell.

Dan, you have simply been the catalyst to fuel our engines! Now we’re not just driving along, we’re spinning out of control!
The key to continuuing POST PALOOZA is to start planning the next one! LOL!
ACtually, I mentioned in another post that we should have a lunch forum where we discuss these new ideas. I’m working on that as we speak!
New Motto: Don’t just think about it; ACT!

Oh, I think once folks jump into technology with both feet, they’re there to stay. Once they invest the time into developing a comfort with the new tools, they won’t want to go back. At least, that’s my hope.

People are at various stages–some are quietly doing things. It’s the leadership that is now ready to move and that has made the difference.
